I would like to pay my respects to some of the wonderful musicians I have worked with and who have also become great friends: BIG JIM SULLIVAN - I have worked with BJ as a duo and in bands for some years. Working with Jim has been an inspiration and nothing short of an ongoing masterclass, one of the most respected guitarists of all time. JOHNNY BENTLEY - Johnny's ability on the bass guitar and his large upright is as good as it gets; not just for his technical ability and feel,but when it comes to finding the perfect bass lines on original material, Johnny's the man! CHRIS HUNT - A drummer with huge experience feel and sensitivity, Chris knows all about dynamics, he allows me to whisper songs one minute and can be as powerful as they get the next, a master at leaving space when needed, but when its time to show what he can do, jaws drop in amazement! McCABE - Alecs playing is artistic,
his use of melody beautiful, a tasteful musical
player, great on the electric and acoustic guitar and when he needs the
chops .. he's got 'em. I would also like to thank the many great guitarists he has had the privilege of meeting at various festivals and concerts: "It has been wonderful playing at the same gigs, and at times playing with some of you: MARTIN TAYLOR, TOMMY EMMANUEL, ERIC ROCHE, JOHN RENBOURNE, CLIVE CAROL, HUGH BURNS and DUCK BAKER; thank you, you are a total inspiration."
